About the Role:

Our Social Work Department provides Social Work services across the Canberra Hospital, including critical care units, medical and surgical wards, and maternity and paediatrics. Our team provide assessment, interventions, complex discharge planning, emotional support and counselling, crisis and brief intervention and advocacy.

We support qualified social workers embarking on a career move into hospital social work by providing skill development support from our Workforce Clinical Educator, supervision and access to funded professional development opportunities.

As the Canberra Hospital continues to expand, so does our Social Work Department. This growth has opened leadership and higher duties opportunities with mentoring support. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified Social Workers with more than three years of experience. While positions are full-time, reduced hours may be considered.
